Dr. Barry Katchinoff, Board Certified in Neurology and Sleep Disorders Medicine
Dr. Barry Katchinoff, medical director, founded Sleep Diagnostics in 2006 after discovering the need for an alternative to the hospital based sleep center. Dr. Katchinoff recognized that the busy and noisy hospital-based labs were not ideal for diagnosing sleep disorders. He realized that a more private and relaxed setting would better represent a patient’s natural sleeping environment. Any facility possessing these characteristics would be much more conducive to sleep than the hospital based sleep centers.
Dr. Barry L. Katchinoff has been in practice in Neurology in Richmond, Virginia since 1983. He received his Neurology training at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and was a Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Fellow at Washington University, St. Louis. Certified in Sleep Disorders since 1991, Dr. Katchinoff is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American Academy of Neurology, AMA, and is a board memeber of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Richmond chapter.
